I'm trying to be acutely aware of how I am feeling- to see if this or that feels weird, to see if all this effort will pay off. One thing that I have noticed is that the flavors of my food are intense. I really notice all of the flavors in the vegetables, and how different combinations of food taste SO good. It gives me hope that I can get used to this.
Did I mention that I figured out what was causing the slime in my mouth? It was the olive oil I was using on my salad. Bleh. So I switched to just lemon, or Braggs Raw Apple Cider Vinegar, and it is great. No more greasy residue problems.
That's how Chris eats his salad now. Before going to OCS, he tried to eat salad with just salt, pepper, lemon/lime. it helped him to endure the 4 months of no salad dressings.
